Bible Prophecy News

Today, many pastors refuse to fully teach on the book of Revelation. My guess as to why leads me to two possible reasons:

  • 1. They are afraid they will frighten their congregation and lose them.
  • 2. They don’t know enough about it themselves.

Whatever the reason, a large number of people are left trying to find a pastor who will help them understand the prophecies in Revelation. Oddly enough, Revelation is the only book in the Bible that promises a blessing to those who read, hear it, and take it to heart.

Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.        Revelation 1:3 (NIV)

Hollywood has made the term “apocalypse” frightening with movies about earthquakes and volcanoes. In reality, the word comes from the Greek term apokalupsis, which simply means “revelation, revealing, or unveiling.” That is why Revelation 1:1 states, “The revelation from Jesus Christ…” Some people mistakenly call it the revelation of John, but it is not that. Revelation means a revealing or unveiling, and it is revealing more about Jesus, not John, though John is the servant to whom the revelation is given.

Studying the prophecies of Revelation does reveal God’s wrath upon the earth and those who have denied Him. You do not want to be here for that. That is why it is important to know where you will spend eternity. When you know that you will spend eternity with God in Heaven, the prophecies of Revelation will not be something you fear because you won’t be here for it. As prophecy teachers are fond of saying:

If you’re scared, you’re not prepared. If you’re prepared, you’re not scared.

As a Christian saved by the blood of Jesus you are not under the wrath of God. You may fall under the wrath of man at some point, but as a child of the King, you will not be under the wrath of God. With that assurance, you will find Bible prophecy more exciting and have an urgent desire to share Jesus with others because our time is short. And today, we see signs of the coming Tribulation, or beast system, more than any other generation, made possible by technology that past generations did not have. The technology of today will allow for one world ruler to keep track of every citizen and control the economy through a digital currency. So much is happening at lightning speed, it’s hard to keep up, but I will share stories here that I believe relate to prophecy in some way, either directly or in ways that may pave the way to a whole new world…the beast system.

The Rapture

What is It?

If you have heard of the Rapture but are not sure exactly what it is, Before the Wrath (also available on Amazon Prime) is an interesting documentary on the connection or similarities between the Galilean wedding and the Rapture, a time before the Tribulation, where Christians who are alive at that time will be taken up with Jesus to Heaven. Jesus spoke to His disciples about the Rapture in ways they would fully understand – that of the Galilean wedding. If we are trying to help someone understand a new concept, we generally equate it to something they already understand and say, “It’s like this.” This is what Jesus did when sharing the Rapture because the disciples knew very well everything associated with such a wedding. Interesting enough, His first miracle was at a wedding.

There are those who say the word “Rapture” isn’t even in the Bible. Well, neither are the words “Bible” or “Trinity” but we understand when they are discussed. We get our word “Rapture” from the Latin rapturo. In the Greek, it is harpazo. These words mean “caught up” or to “snatch away quickly.”

“For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words.”

Explanations for the Disappearance of So Many People

Some pastors and others who speak on Bible prophecy believe that leaders will point to aliens and alien abductions as a way to explain the rapture when those who belong to Jesus through faith and salvation in Him are taken away in the “twinkling of an eye” (1 Corinthians 15:52). Still, it was a bit surprising to see this headline. Articles like this one discussing Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) or Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) are beginning to show up with greater frequency these days in what could be an attempt to normalize thinking on this issue. Pastor Billy Crone has done a lot of research on this topic. As a wonderful prophecy teacher named Jan Markell says, “Things aren’t falling apart; they’re falling into place.

Digital Currency

Revelation 13 talks about a time in the seven-year Tribulation where the Antichrist will require everyone to take a mark, without which they will not be able to buy or sell. This mark is not a current vaccine or tattoo. It will be a mark whereby those who take it will know that they are pledging loyalty to the Antichrist. They will do so willingly out of allegiance or fear, but they will know what they are doing. When John wrote Revelation, he must have wondered how in the world one person could control the world economically. In our day, we see it will be quite easy. The Antichrist will not have to come in and set up anything to make this happen. It will be ready to go. And we are seeing the “beast system” being set up before our very eyes.

One-World Government

While the Bible doesn’t speak specifically of climate lockdowns, it does speak about a one-world government. Many are calling for a global government so that issues such as the climate can be addressed from one body or person.
